Prelude to Te Deum
Marc-Antoine Charpentier (1643 - 1704) was a prolific composer, particularly of sacred music, so it is odd that this his most popular piece is a fairly recent discovery, having been lost until the 1950s when it was chosen as the signature music of the European Broadcasting Union. It was originally in D, but this band version is in B flat.
Includes parts for F horns and bass clef parts for all the lower brass.
