The Jolly Blacksmiths
Fancy a change from Scott Joplin? This "two-step", a precursor of mainstream ragtime, was issued by the minor composer and publisher E.T. Paull in 1905. History has been impolite to him, suggesting that the colourful covers of his sheet music editions outshone their contents. In the present case this is unfair, as here we have a rousing and rumbustious march.
Although it doesn't appear in the score, the drum kit part from the brass band version is included as a bonus.
Includes duplicate parts for soprano cornet, E flat horn, treble clef trombones and E flat or B flat bass.
